Payment Policy

Last updated: June 2026

Summary: Muffin Market™ is a local marketplace that connects customers with independent vendors. Order payments go directly from the customer to the vendor. Muffin Market is not a payment intermediary for marketplace orders. Separate rules apply when you purchase business services from Muffin Market.

1. Scope

This Payment Policy explains how money moves on the Muffin Market platform. It supplements our Terms and Conditions. By using paid features or agreeing to vendor checkout, you accept this policy.

2. Role of Muffin Market

As a marketplace, Muffin Market connects customers with local vendors for discovery, ordering, and communication. We act as a marketplace operator and technology layer, not the seller of vendor goods or services. Unless explicitly stated for a specific Muffin Market business product, we do not process, store, or settle funds for purchases from vendors listed on the marketplace.

3. Customer payments to vendors

When you order from a vendor through the Muffin Market app:

4. Payments to Muffin Market (business services)

Vendors, businesses, or partners may purchase services from Muffin Market for business operations (for example platform features, listings, or operational support). When Muffin Market is the seller of those services:

5. Pricing and changes

We may change pricing for Muffin Market business services. Where required, we will give advance notice before new prices apply to your existing subscription or term. Promotional pricing applies only to eligible customers and for the stated period.

Vendor pricing on listings is set by vendors. Muffin Market does not guarantee that displayed prices are final until confirmed by the vendor at order time.

6. Authorization and billing

When you purchase Muffin Market business services, you authorize us (or our payment processor) to charge the payment method you provide for all fees, taxes, and recurring charges described at purchase, until you cancel according to our Cancellation Policy.

For card payments, we or our processor may request pre-authorization to verify validity and available funds. You are responsible for keeping payment details current.

7. Third-party payment processors

We may use independent payment processors to handle charges for Muffin Market business services. You may need to provide payment information directly to the processor. Their terms and privacy practices apply to that interaction. We are not responsible for processor outages or errors outside our reasonable control.

Direct payments between customers and vendors use methods chosen by the vendor and are not processed by Muffin Market.

8. Failed, disputed, and delinquent payments

Vendor order payments

Issues with a direct payment to a vendor (failed transfer, duplicate charge, non-delivery after payment) must be resolved with the vendor and your payment provider. Muffin Market may offer communication tools but is not responsible for executing or reversing vendor-side payments.

Muffin Market business services

If a charge for our business services fails or your account becomes delinquent, we may suspend access to paid features until payment is received. We may also charge reasonable costs associated with collection or chargebacks where permitted by law and your agreement.

9. Security and data

Muffin Market does not require customers to submit payment credentials to us for standard vendor checkout. Protect direct-payment details you share with vendors. For how we handle personal data related to billing, see our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes

We may update this Payment Policy as our products evolve. The “Last updated” date shows the current version. Material changes may be communicated in the app or on this website. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance, subject to any additional consent required by law.
